Stand Down Storage Accumulator

It is essential that lenses which have just been moulded are handled carefully and stored securely within a production buffer system. ATM has designed and developed this multi-tier system, enabling trolleys containing stacks of filled trays to be presented by an operator and stored on one of three levels within the system.

Powered conveyors are used to collect the trays from the trolley. If the trays are to be stored in one of the upper levels, a scissor lift unit is used to raise them to the appropriate position. Trays of product can be retrieved by the operator from the opposite side of the system for onward transportation to the filling cell.
